Tourmaline Necklace
I found this beautiful strand of muli-coloured and faceted Tourmaline beads that range in colour from pink to green. They were ready to form a necklace but needed a handmade clasp to enhance the beads. The 18ct Gold clasp has a frosted finish and is set with a red net-cut garnet that is faceted across the top. It is similar to a pearl clasp with a hook slipping between two layers of metal. Soldering the little pins in the right position between the layers so the hook is secure was a challenge. The clasp is so eye-catching it can be worn in the front as well as the back. There are four 9ct Gold spacers in the necklace to continue the gold theme and earrings to match.
