FAQs
- Q?How long does it take for my piece of jewellery to be made?
- A.
The time frame depends on how complex the design and my workload at that time. It is best to allow 3 weeks minimum. But I will do my best to accommodate birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
- Q?Will I need to come to your place?
- A.
Yes please! There are catalogues with designs you can refer to and we can discuss. I will sketch the design as it develops. For a ring your finger needs to be measured to find the right size. For a necklace the right length has to be decided. For a pendant the size is important.
- Q?Will you supply a gift box?
- A.
Yes, a very nice one that will show off the piece of jewellery to its best advantage whether a ring, pendant or necklace.
- Q?Will I need to give you some money in advance?
- A.
I will need a deposit of about 1/3 of the total cost. This gives both you and a commitment to the completion of your piece of jewellery. if it suits you better we can organise a payment plan over several months so you can have the piece of jewellery you have dreamt of wearing.
- Q?Can I pay by Credit Card?
- A.
Yes. I have an EFTPOS machine which will take a Credit Card but not Debit Card. That is another reason for your coming to my place
- Q?Can I transfer money into your bank account?
- A.
Yes, of course. My bank details are on the Invoice or Quote.
- Q?Can you buy gemstones for me?
- A.
Yes. I have access to wholesale gem merchants and with my knowledge of gemstones I can skilfully select one or two of the best available stones available for you to see. This is particularly helpful if you want coloured stones.
- Q?Do you have a shop?
- A.
No I don’t. I work from home which helps to keep the costs down and gives you value for your money. I will display new pieces on my website on a regular basis so you can see the style of jewellery I make. Some will be available for purchase. Others have been made for a client.
- Q?Can I bring my own gemstone?
- A.
Yes, of course. I often make pieces of jewellery using gemstones that a client has had for many years but haven’t known what to do with them.
