Blue & Yellow Sapphire Ring

This ring emerged from some Sapphires that were found by the client and cut with the idea to make a ring. The couple wanted the larger blue stone on an angle and the smaller yellow stones on either side. The requirement was a ring that was very wearable that sat down on the finger and was easy to maintain. The suggestion was a rub-over setting and as the corners of the blue stone were truncated the metal was opened on these corners allowing it to fit neatly against the yellow stone settings.  It is a delightful ring that catches the eye with the different colour combination and is a lovely memento of the Sapphire fields north of Emerald, Queensland.
