Blue Sapphire and Diamond Ring

An old blue Sapphire and Diamond ring was given to me to reconstruct . There were 33 diamonds and a fabulous Australian top grade blue Sapphire from the Inverell area of NSW. Catherine had a definite idea for the new design. As she lived in Sydney there were lots of  phone consultations and drawings sent by email to be sure we were on the same wavelength. The result is a wide 18ct Yellow Gold ring with a White Gold layer at the front and narrow rims of Yellow Gold on either side. The oval Sapphire was set down into the shank and highlighted by 9 diamonds on each side.

Blue Sapphire:   6 x 4mm

Diamonds: 18ct

The remaining Diamonds are to be set in another ring to be made at a later date.
