Blue Sapphire Ring

This assignment was a pleasure as it was for my daughter. The Sapphire is from Sri Lanka where this lovely blue colour is readily available. The triangular settings on either side were perfect for two trilliant-cut Diamonds that add extra sparkle and produced a very different look. The three stones were set down into a shank that was thicker at the top and tapered at the back in thickness and width. The settings were made in White Gold and the shank in Yellow Gold.

I was looking for a unique ring to celebrate my engagement, but after searching shop after shop, came to the conclusion that what I wanted, what I needed, wasn’t going to be found in any commercial premises. I was chasing a ring that would symbolise myself and my future union……I needed something that I designed, that could be hand crafted with love and attention. To be honest, I couldn’t have asked for anything more! Allowing me to select the style, the gems, the design and the metals with hints and tips along the way, Julie helped create a ring that I will treasure forever!
